Courtney Shanade Salter, better known by her stage name of Ari Lennox, is an American singer and musician who hails from Washington, D.C., who was the first woman to join J. Cole's Dreamville Records record label. In October of 2016 Ari Lennox debuted her EP Pho. This was the moment that she gained recognition. Ari Lennox began uploading her tracks to the Internet in 2012 after she dropped her first mixtape Five Finger Discount, and her debut EP Ariography in the year 2013.
